Small Blessings, Staff Profiles
Annette has been a part of Small Blessings since July 21, 1997. She has worked in the infant, toddler and transition rooms before becoming the preschool teacher in 2009. In August of 2011 the previous Director resigned, she became the new Director.
In 2008, she received her CDA (Child Development Associates) and in 2012 completed her Associates in Child Development.
Some of her hobbies include reading, sewing, and water activities at her cottage. But her greatest joy and pleasure is spending time with her 8 grandchildren.
What she enjoys the most about working with children is watching them develop and mature. Working here as long as she has, she has seen several children enter high school and college. Some have come back to visit and it has been a joy to be part of their lives.
Kristen is the Lead Teacher in the toddler room and has been here since 2011. Currently she is working on getting her CDA (Child Development Certificate). She had been babysitting for over 8 years before starting at Small Blessings. At the Eaton Siren Shelter, she was a volunteer caring for children and at Galewood Elementary in Charlotte she worked as an aid teaching children to read in an after-school program.
In her spare time she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
Cheryl is the lead teacher in the Preschool room and has a bachelors degree in psychology with minors in sociology and music. She started at Small Blessings in September of 2014 and is excited to be preparing children for Kindergarten. Before starting to raising her own children who are now grown, she worked in a daycare center. For the 13 years her youngest child was in school she was a substitute teacher.
Mary has lived in Eaton Rapids for 40 years, raised 4 children and is now enjoying 6 grandchildren. She had childcare in her home for 14 years and worked 12 years in childcare centers. She feels it is a great joy to watch children grow and learn, and is thankful to have this opportunity to be a part of your children’s lives, for they are special and our future.
